Ten years after the explosion at the AZF plant in Toulouse, the memory is as painful as ever. The disaster, which caused a number of deaths as well as considerable damage, has left a deep and lasting mark on the people of Toulouse and the employees of Grande Paroisse and Total.
Grande Paroisse would like to express, once again, its profound sympathy and sincere compassion for the victims and their families. It also wishes to pay tribute to all those who showed their solidarity towards the city of Toulouse and its inhabitants.
Grande Paroisse, whose employees were among the first and hardest-hit victims, hopes that the causes of this terrible tragedy will finally be determined.
The Toulouse Criminal Court in its verdict on November 19, 2009 acquitted Grande Paroisse and Serge Biechlin.
The appeal will begin on this November 3rd, 2011.
